Meditation

People learn meditation for many different reasons – here are some of the reasons my clients give me for wanting to learn meditation:

  • To be more focussed at work, communicate more effectively and develop resilience
  • To achieve a ‘flow’ state
  • For reducing anxiety, stress or other mental health issues
  • To become happier
  • To achieve mindful awareness (and expanded consciousness)

There are other reasons too of course – to connect with the universe, to achieve ‘Nirvana’ are just two.  You can probably think of many more.

There are thousands of ways to meditate and I use just some of them. I bring simple meditation techniques that are easy to learn and easy to use as well as longer guided meditations.  There are always questions

I teach meditation in a safe and welcoming environment and always have time for socialising afterwards, so people get to know each other.

Most people think of ‘Mindfulness’ when they think of meditation – I’ll talk about what they each mean.

Many people think that meditation means you have to clear your mind (which is impossible), sit cross legged (which is unnecessary – and can be really uncomfortable), spend many hours sitting still (again it’s not necessary).

Customer feedback

Jemima is a great meditation teacher. I attended her workshop at the Apple Tree and it was just what I needed. I was relaxed, and came away with focus and drive and a sense of peace that I haven’t had in ages. Highly recommend!
